The question says it all, why do we have these sessions?Is there any use to it? Couldn't the same time be spend more wisely?
I know I can find help for my questions and problems here, so why should I attend?

The reason for plenary sessions is to come together as a class to discuss progress on subjects.
This makes sure that not only the teachers, but everybody stays aware of eachother.
